I’ve had the privilege of teaching young artists and watching their artistic skills grow rapidly to where their talent surpassed mine at the same age.
I recall once making a mistake between my verbal instruction and what I drew as an example. The young artist had replicated my mistake on his drawing and when I spoke to correct it, he pointed out that I had drawn my line that way and then replied in a sly but happy tone… "The student’s catching up with the teacher!"
I hope you enjoy the beautiful work in this Artists Gallery from some of our visiting artists!
Ethan, Age 9
A very multi-talented young student of mine with an incredible ability to draw all of the Warner Brothers characters from memory!
His father put this wonderful video together to the song "Somewhere Over The Rainbow".
The later drawings in this video (after the pencil sketches) were from lessons he did in my Famous Character Cartooning Class.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Jonathan, Age 9
A young student of mine who loved to design his own characters. This drawing was a gift to me from him. He named the character "Vincent".
